“You Won’t Relent” as performed by Foursquare Camp Band.

I recorded my first ‘live’ worship album with some friends at Foursquare camp this summer. It was quite an experience! Mostly covers, and mostly not as good as the original versions. ;) In any case, camp was INCREDIBLE, and I simply love to worship.

This is a rough version of the song “You Won’t Relent” by Misty Edwards (arrangement by Jesus Culture band). Another version of this song made it on the actual album, but I really liked this one too. It’s about 10 minutes long, which wasn’t unusual for camp.

It’s pretty humbling recording a live album, especially when you don’t have the capabilities to go back and fix mistakes (room mics make it tough). For 7 picky musicians, every little mistake stands out like a sore thumb. I’ve had to learn to give myself a little bit of grace thought, simply because God did so much, and much of the time I was fighting back tears! We’ve all learned a lot in doing this, and are thankful for the support all the churches who helped make it happen.
