Awesome.

I’m typing this on my iPhone so I won’t forget. Please excuse the poor grammer and potential typos! :)

Had a cool experience with a homeless guy tonight. His name was Jason. While we stood for an hour and a half outside the cheesecake factory waiting to get in, we watched a homeless guy with a big “kissing booth” sign entertaining people as they passed and trying to give people restaurant reservations. I finally went up to him to talk with him and offer him dinner at Subway. He had already eaten but said he would love some cheesecake! I found out he lost his wife awhile back, and after quitting alcohol 5 years ago, decided to try and make people smile while trying to make a little money. He said I was the only person to show him compassion tonight, which was weird since it’s thanksgiving. I asked him if I could pray for him an he agreed. Within 5 seconds of my prayer, someone handed him a $5! Right afterwards, I went to grab him a slice of cheesecake. Within 20 minutes, he had recieved cheesecake, a meal, and about $20, which is the most he had collected all day! He came up to me and acknowledged that “the Lord works in mysterious ways” and then went on to entertain people! Almost everyone I saw him encounter with after that was totally friendly with him.

It’s cool when you actually see God take care of someone in need right on front of you!
